The Jets lost their third straight game on Sunday, a 38-33 loss to the Raiders, and are now 2-6. Here are some thoughts and observations from the game:

1. When a team is losing, we always end up interpreting body language and press conference quotes from the head coach. It is a tradition around here. So … one thing that struck me after Sunday’s loss was the lack of anger from Aaron Glenn in his postgame press conference. This was another gut-punch loss and he talked about it very matter of factly. He pointed out things they did well in the game. What? No one wants to hear that after you lost to a bad Raiders team at home.

Glenn took heat last year for being defiant in his press conferences. To be clear, you can’t win the press conference if you don’t win games. Whatever you do is going to be criticized. However, I’d like to see some of that defiance from Glenn right now. He looks like a defeated man at the podium right now. He looks like a coach who has no answers. He looks like a far cry from the guy who told everyone to “buckle up” when he got the job.

This is deep on the list of things Glenn needs to fix with the Jets right now and his performance. But it is something that struck me after Sunday’s game. The Jets job seems to have swallowed Glenn up, just like so many before him.
